Recent builds of Outlook have a simplified account creation wizard which stops certain types of email accounts from verifying and completing the Account Setup Wizard.<\/span><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t You add all correct<\/strong> details to the Email Account Setup Wizard and after entering the password, when you click finish, it pops up with ‘Something Went Wrong’ Another Symptom to look out for is the fact that in the Folder Pane on left hand side, an Outlook Data File has been created with the same name as the email you have just TRIED<\/strong> to setup!!<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t The 1st thing to do (If you have already tried to setup the email?), is to close the Outlook Data File that has been created in error.<\/p> Simply locate it in the Folder Pane and ‘Right Click, Close’<\/p> This fix requires using RegEdit, therefore GCDtec\u00a0take no responsibility for the results as you can cause more damage if you dont know what you are doing.<\/em><\/strong><\/p> If you are unsure DONT DO IT!<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t <\/p> <\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t Alternatively download\u00a0DisableSimplifiedAccountCreation.reg<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>here and the correct registry entry will be imported.<\/p> You will need to unzip this file and then double cilck it to import \/ create the relevant registry keys.<\/em><\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\tSymptoms:<\/h5>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
